Medicare open enrollment forum will take place on Friday, November 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, at the downtown senior citizen center, at 16 West 4th Street. The forum is designed to prepare local seniors for the open enrollment period for Medicare. That period runs through December 7, 2014, for coverage that takes effect on January 1, 2015.
The forum will give residents the opportunity to review their current Medicare coverage. At the event, people will have the chance to compare plan options. Those options include Part D prescription drug plans and lowering premium costs in 2015. Forum participants will also be able to find out information about PAAD and Senior Gold Discount Programs.
Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP) staff will be available to answer your questions. At the forum, the public will be able to make appointments for one-on-one help from the Bayonne Office On Aging.
The event will include presentations by Hudacko’s Pharmacy, Walgreens, Urgent Care Center, and CarePoint Advantage Preferred Provider Organization (PPO).
Refreshments will be provided. Call 201-858-6119 for information.
