City Hall hired another nephew. Don’t worry, this time it wasn’t another one of the Mayor’s nephews. The Bayonne Municipal Utilities Authority members voted unanimously to appoint its own vice chairperson’s nephew as the director of Bayonne’s Municipal Utilities Authority. Timothy Boyle of Bayonne, will be making around $100,000 dollars a year as the new Director of the Municipal Utilities Authority. A pretty nice gift from his Aunt, the Vice Chairperson Theresa Colbath. Colbath nor Boyle could be reached for comment, they do not have public profiles or telephone numbers listed anywhere on the cities’ website. Our calls to City Hall have not been returned.
(In the video above Mayor Davis promises to fight nepotism and “cronyism” at city hall)
So far, the city has hired one of Davis’ direct family members and one other high ranking officials’ family member. Sources inside city hall say there are many more. Another one of Davis campaign promises was to have a more open and transparent City Hall, yet the Davis administration has not released any salary information or any other information about the 10 or so new hires at City Hall. According to sources inside City Hall most of the new hires do not live within the City of Bayonne. Open Public Records Requests filed by our office are still unanswered.
