Enforcement of mechanical street-sweeping will begin on Parkside Lane and Public Lane on Monday, September 14. The City Council passed an ordinance earlier this year authorizing the extension of mechanical sweeping to those two streets. Street-sweeping without enforcement is already taking place. Alternate side of the street parking will be required to allow the street-sweeping to take place more effectively.
Beginning Monday, September 14, the East side of Parkside Lane and both sides of Public Lane will be swept with enforcement on Mondays. Parking will be prohibited for street-cleaning there on Mondays from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
The West side of Parkside Lane will be swept with enforcement on Tuesdays. Parking will be prohibited there for street-sweeping on Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
As in other parts of the city, mechanical street-sweeping will not take place on holidays and on other occasions that will be announced.
